ABOUT: In 2000, Corey Pooley opened a small vegan sushi stand at the Santa Cruz Farmers Market. In the years since, Corey's stand has evolved from Happy Wraps to Core Elations, dedicated to vegan wraps, soups, smoothies, shakes and soups. From a kitchen in Santa Cruz, Core Elations prepares all of their products by hand, and a well-used Vitamix blends smoothies. Core Elations sells exclusively through the Ferry Plaza and Berkeley farmers' markets and café in Santa Cruz.

SOURCING: 90% of the ingredients that go into Core Elations foods are certified organic. Nearly 70% of Corey's ingredients are grown locally. He sources other ingredients from Asian grocers and import stores. Corey says that his secret ingredient is an affirming and positive world view.
